Logo design is an important part of branding. Your logo is the face of your company. It is one of the most important pieces of your brand. Whether you are creating a new logo or refreshing an existing one – here are some questions that will help guide the design process.

  1. What is the full name to appear in your logo? Please include any relevant capitalization or punctuation preferences.
  2. Does a parent company name need to be included as an option?
  3. Does a tagline need to be included?
  4. If you had to describe your company in one word what would it be?
  5. What is the age range of your target customer base?
  6. What keywords summarize the overall impression your logo should convey about your company?
  7. When a customer views your product or logo what emotion do you want them to feel?
  8. What is your company’s tone of voice (formal, informal, corporate, friendly)?
  9. Do you picture your logo as having a mark or type only or do you prefer to see both options?
  10. If you would like to see options with marks, do you have any specific imagery in mind?
  11. Do you have any color preferences or colors you would not like incorporated into the logo?
  12. How do you imagine the typography of the logo (script, bold, light, etc.)?
  13. Are there any brands that you respect or incorporate an overall feel that you would like us to reference as we design your logo?
  14. What do you like about these brands/logos?
